Bonjour, you beguiling belles!  (and beaux, since I'm never sexist!)

Anthropologie
Anthropologie - Pilcro Denim Roll Ups
With Mother's Day and Father's Day past and Independence Day looming large, we are getting into the heat of summer, which means summer vacations!  When I think of summery getaways, I think of the beach or the coolness of the mountains but wherever you're heading, doesn't your style go with you?  Don't you want to be effortless but cute, cool, catchy at the same time?  Whether you're like me, who can't cross the street without five pairs of shoes, or like a friend of mine who can make an entire suitcase go with one pair of flip flops, your summer vacation style reflects you.  Read on and see if these easy ideas can enhance "YOU"!

Are you beach bound?  I'll bet the kids' stuff takes up enough room so that the last thing you want is to pack extra!  With these essentials, you can mix and match as your daily style demands and know that you'll always look and feel "mahvelous, dahling"!  This year I'm packing three pairs of shorts for my clients.......one pair of walking shorts, one pair of denim shorts either cuffed or frayed edge and a pair of bright cottons or denims.  I add two short skirts, one colored denim and one cotton.  Two long skirts or dresses.  T's, halters or tanks go perfectly with the skirts and the shorts, while a loose gauzy white shirt compliments all your bottoms and can also double as a swimsuit cover up.  I always pack a hat, such as last year's straw fedora!, a floppy brimmed big hat or just a ball cap with a cute logo.  A cropped white cardi gives a cute but warm edge for chilly breezes and wedges are my go-to shoe because they go with everything!!  Do these choices sound like you?  How easy are THEY?  And best of all, you're cute, chic, coordinated AND packed into one roll aboard!!!
Anthropologie - Kunstenaar Jacket

Heading for the hills?  I'm sticking with one pair of walking shorts, one pair of cutoffs and adding two pairs of jeans-one a distressed boyfriend style and the others a dark wash.  Leave the short skirts at home in favor of two pairs of slacks or jeans, brightly colored or white.  I'd keep the two long skirts to dress up or down with pushed up sleeved button downs and cropped sweaters.  Layering our tops is key here, so go with tanks that layer under long sleeved, deep neckline T's, and don't forget a button down sweater in a bright, bold color and the indispensable denim jacket!    Instead of wedges, I'd opt for a fun pair of high tops and a pair of great flat heeled boots in a hot neutral like caramel.  And once again, you're in for a roll aboard or small suitcase, making your style not just amazing but effortless!!

Folks, that's how we roll here at Style Savvy.  We keep you stylin' but smilin'.  Or, if that's too corny, think of it as haute and happy!  You get the picture.  And always remember, "trend" is today, "style" is forever!!!!!
